Introducing Switched on Families, Web Safe and Virgin Media Internet Security

We're always looking for new and better ways to help our customers and their families stay safe on the web. So we're very excited to tell you about three brand new tools which we've created to help you and your family get even more enjoyment from the web.

Switched on Families

We met with thousands of families to discuss the effect of the web on their children. Everyone was overwhelmingly positive, but some parents wanted better technology and guidance from internet service providers like us to help keep kids safe online.

So we created Switched on Families, an online, interactive guide about protecting kids on the web. It gives parents clear, honest, useful (and sometimes fun) advice to make sure their family gets the best from the web and their kids stay safe online.

Web Safe

Web Safe automatically blocks access to sites it believes are either unsuitable for children, fraudulent or contain viruses. It'll help to protect any device that's connected to your Virgin Media home network to keep you, your family and your gadgets safe.

It's easy to turn on. Just sign in to My Virgin Media and change your settings. If you want to turn it off again, you can do so whenever you like.

And possibly the best thing about Web Safe is it comes with all our broadband packages, absolutely free.
