Changes to local phone dialling in Bradford, Brighton and Middlesbrough

From the 1st October 2014 if you live in Bradford, Brighton or Middlesbrough we are making some changes to how you dial local phone numbers.

The dialling codes affected are:

• 01274 (Bradford)
• 01273 (Brighton)
• 01642 (Middlesbrough)

What's changing?

From October onwards to make a local call, you'll need to dial the full number. For instance if you would normally dial 123456 to call a number in Brighton, you'll need to dial 01273 123456.

Why are you making this change?

The changes to local dialling have been made by OFCOM, as telephone numbers in the affected areas were running out. By requiring the full number to be dialled, OFCOM can release additional telephone numbers without requiring your existing number to be changed.
